I sat here thinking tonight about the programmes I used to love, and have never forgotten Look and Read.... even though I must have been 7 or 8 when I first saw 'Badger Girl,' 'Geordie Racer,' and 'Through The Dragons Eye,' (my personal favourite)
After finding this website, I was so happy to learn that they were still being shown today on CBBC. However, being a huge fan, I was also mega disappointed that I had already missed two of my shows.... 'geordie racer' it so happens even by days... :( not pleased at all!
Please tell me they will be on again! I know it says to watch out for them next term, but I'm literally gagging to see them again and again! 'Badger Girl' (although good) was my least favourite of the three.... and I don't think I could wait another month, yet alone another year! Please tell me someone has all the episodes of 'Dragons Eye' and our Spuggy on tape! Either that, or can someone promise they will definately be on soon!
Thanks for the site though... you've really made me night tonight!
relax, I found this site 2 years ago when cbbc had just started on freeview, and since then all of the look and reads old and new have been repeated over and over again, but the only bogus thing that we all have to put up with is the space of time between each one being repeated again, so since you have just missed geordie racer, you will have to wait till early 2005, but have no fear, i have been told by the people who schedule the programmes that they are still a huge success today and while they continue to be a success they will continue to repeat them. I'm still waiting for some of my fav's to come on, so we all just need to be a little patient.
hope i have helped or at leaset calmed your nerves
andy.... i'm actually from the midlands - its just when i write that my accent could be from anywhere! thanks for replying too!
ryan... thanks for calming the nerves, haha! i'm happy (and somewhat amazed) that they are still successful today, as i thought kids would rather watch pokemon and dragonball z of all things instead. i'm actaully looking forward to the new year now, thanks!

Ooh, Ryan, what do you know?! Have they given you any definite indications about what'll be on next term? I know it wouldn't be that hard to guess what they're almost certain to show in the Spring, but some definite previews would be nice.
And what did they say about being a 'huge success'? Have they actually been out & got feedback from teachers / viewers at last, I wonder? Class TV really does seem to be the most over-looked area of British TV ever. Those big government reports on BBC digital services that were published the other week spend ages banging on about children's TV (mostly complaining about the lack of archive shows, even advocating that there should be a separate "CBBC Gold" channel , and complaining about how Dick & Dom in Da Bungalow is "not where the BBC should be") but deliberately and explicitly avoid mentioning the schools programmes. Maybe they just assume that it must be perfect!
