As it's often the same people who post the messages onto this forum, I reckon it's about time some of us revealed a bit about who each of us are! I am GAGGING, for instance, to know more about "I would bugger Derek Griffiths if I was gay." I'm astonished at the amount of teachers on here. Should I be?!


I'll go first. My name is Glyn Ingram, I'm 25 and remember "Dark Towers" from my second year at Infant school. After leaving secondary school in 1996, I went to Bracknell & Wokingham college before going on to undertake a degree in English at The University of Reading in 1999. I have also spent time working and stuyding in Liverpool and, er, Las Vegas (long story). As well as being a biiiggg fan of "the boy from space" and "dark towers" etc, I also love music, going out, writing, travelling, films etc. I am particularly keen on the 80's and have a fondness for 80's music. Cinema-wise, I adore realist movies and am a particular fan of Ken Loach and Mike Leigh. I am also a massive, massive fan of the pet shop boys (who I've even met!) and really like to visit new places. Erm, my favourite colour is green and my favourite writers include Bill Bryson and James Herbert. I also like Michael Moore.


I hope to begin teacher training this September to eventually teach English literature and Language at secondary school level. Nothing that exciting (yet) really although I hope to get some of my own fiction published in the future.

As Carol Vorderman would say, the first rule for using the internet safely is to never reveal anything personal. Especially when some bloke on a message board tries to find out about you.

Although I feel secure in revealing that I'm actually (slightly) younger than you Glyn. And I'm not a teacher, though almost everybody else in my family is.

Wow, everyone in this site is verrryyy secretive!! I was at least hoping "I would bugger Derek Griffiths if I was gay" would offer a reply, he's a funny guy! And what's happend to Tall thin man of late, I haven't seen him around, he's a good bloke. I did wonder about the teacher thing Ben, this site seems to attract a lot of teachers (understandably)....


So, has anyone else got the courage to say anything about 'emselves or are they worried I might zap them into space like the thin man or kidnap 'em like Mr Bunce?

My name IS lee nicholson, and i'm 31 (32 in october...what an old codger!)
I currently work in a glass engraving factory, but i've had a wide variety of jobs including dog handler(!) youth worker, freelance artist, samaritan.
I live in middlesbrough (don't hold it against me!) and i'm a massive fan of LOOK AND READ (especially THE BOY FROM SPACE) despite the fact, that i'm still ****-scared by the THIN MAN!!!!!

I hope you're being polite & respectful, because you know as soon as he discovers your true identity he's going to panic and try to run away.
It would be extraordinarily interesting though - be sure to ask him about the make-up!

And He was Meakin in scum, bit of a different role but I still half expected him to talk in that grating metallic voice..

We used to cuss each others mums on a similar forum and L+R came up quit often I'll chuck some up but its a bit rude so Ben please feel free to erase it if you find it 'unsuitable'

The actor who played Meakin in the Alan Clarkes Gory Borstal Shocker Scum, has been recieving obscene phone calls requesting him to talk dirt in PEEP PEEP's robotic voice! 'It's not like I can even do the voice', he said yesterday. 'That was down to the BBC radiophonic workshop who did all the sound effects and the music from Dr Who.' ' My lifes becoming a nightmare!' 'Its bad enough I havent done any telly since 1995.' Charles Collingwood , voice of Wordy also spoke of Depraved requests. The camp actor 59 who was also the scorer on Noel Edmonds Telly addicts claims he was sent a scriptt of DEPRAVED sexual requests to record on a dictaphone in Wordys unmistakable camp tones, and access to THE ORIGINAL Wordy puppet. Collingwood, also the voice of the Treasurer in The Dark Crystal said he had 'no interest' in recording such a tape and DIDNT know where the original Wordy puppet was either!
