Hey all, i'm back!

After months of searching, it looks as though I never will get a copy of 'La maree et ses secrets'

I am sure i'm not the only one in this dilema however, I daresay the oldest ones such as 'Bob and Carol look for treasure' are equally hard to get ones hands on, although I have no intrest in those particular titles.

*Sigh*

I remember the series when I did GCSE French at school which is 1987/88.  I think the title was actually "la met et ses secrets".  I know it translated to "The Sea and its Secrets".  Definitely not a L&R title though.

Fred - You're right, definitely not a L&R title, but a serial drama from the same writer/production team as many classic Look & Reads, and considered internally to be a sort of off-shoot from L&R - La marée et ses secrets. If you watched it for GCSE then you must know the rather shocking ending!

Eddy, are you sure you really want to sit through a five-part drama serial entirely in French?! If you do then Le café des rêves is getting repeated on the Learning Zone on 21st October - it's a bit more soap opera-y but it does have a crime plot, and was also made by Susan Paton like Badger Girl and La Marée. In fact if you watch any BBC secondary schools French or German programmes, there's a better than 50% chance they were made by Susan Paton!

Ben

a) It was so long ago that I only have the vaguest of memories of watching it.

b) My French when I watched it was so appaling there was no point in my watching it anyway as I couldn't understand consequently had no idea what happened, never mind the ending!

Fred :)
