Looking at the 'Wordy' page, there appears to have been at least 4 different basic incarnations, but which one do fans think was the best?
I personally thought the neat version in Sky Hunter (I) was the definitive looking puppet - it's a pity this model was used just the once (anyone know why early Wordys were only used the once?).
Although the 'standard' Wordy (used from Dark Towers onwards) was a close second, I always felt that he his letters were a bit too spaced out leaving too many gaps on his body, though he was the cutest looking one.
The original, used in Cloud Burst and the almost identical one in The King's Dragon have orginality value, but do look a bit bulky and primitive when you get used to the other versions - but Charles Collingwood's voice seems to suit the face of these Wordy more than the others to me.
The worst for me was The Boy from Space Wordy - not awful, but he was a little freaky looking, and more awkwardly designed than the others.
He is 'On about' Wordy, a character from many Look and Read programs, which this forum is about. If you only come here to Spam us with your Scary Sleepover topic then you wouldn't know about him I wish ben would delete all that stuff.
That said, I liked the Geordie Racer Wordy best, especially when he got in a mood with Micky Stone
