It's only after seeing the end of Sky Hunter the other day that I thought it really didn't make sense the way it ended. Mr Trim pretended to double cross the children again in order to trick Cat Mary at the zoo and then overpower her. Originally the children were planning to go to the police. Surely if the children along with Mr Trim had gone to the police and said that Cat Mary and Badger would be at the zoo then the police could have gone there and arrested them without the children and Trim needing to go there and put themsleves in danger. Trim would have still got a lesser sentance for wanting to help.
Does anyone else agree or is there something in the story I'm missing!
Yes, in the real world this would have made more sense.
But for dramatic purposes, it was done this way in order to toy with the viewers minds (as to whether Mr. Trim had really sided with the children or was going to double-cross them again), and for Mr. Trim to be able to make a sacrifice in order to prove his change of heart (hence his getting injured).
